Any US deliveries look at leasing?

I'm being told straight up BMWFS doesn't want to lease so 35% residual on them.

Can anyone confirm?

You mean 36% depreciation right (i.e. 64% residual value at the end of the lease)? In the US, M cars are usually ~50-60% residual.

If anyone does take a lease would you pm me your residual and MF. I'd be curious to run the numbers. Are they asking for money up front?

Oh, I was replying to Hedonsite, who seems to be in Switzerland.

35% residual is super low, and you should just finance it in that case.

Agreed. 0.9% money is too good to pass up.

GM at dealership says BMW knows many of these will see track duty and be run hard and put up wet! They don't want a bunch of ragged out cars back on their lots.

I will do the 0.9% because it's fantastic but I'm still curious to know how this will compare against a lease.

What would the leasehackr be on:
85,145 MSRP
0 cap cost reduction down
10k mi, 36 mo
X% max available M2CS residual
X.XXX min available M2CS money factor

I like the risk mitigation factor of a lease

I agree. Having the third option of giving it back to them is a nice option.

Maybe a third party leasing company?

It works be worth driving the numbers. In the right scenerio a low residual can be good if you plan to buy. Its feasible to get a similar payment as a purchase, but bank takes on all liability for first 3 yrs. Then you buy it at the end.

Low residual plus 36 months vs 60 month purchase likely means a higher lease Payment then a purchase payment.
$85k divided by 60
Vs.
$56k divided by 36

Will be very close payment wise.

I like going through BMWFS because it's just easy peasy to relinquish the lease on a swap site

Yes, be careful when leasing to pay attention to what bank is used. Jaguar uses Chase. Do not use them if you think you might want to use swaplease. No private 3rd party transfers.

No figures, but the quick payment numbers with nothing down but first payment and fees. 1770/mo. Would cost 95k in the end if bought outright for an 85k car. I'm sure there's a bit of room to negotiate MF, msd, etc to get the price a bit better. It would be a very expensive insurance plan to lease for the first three years.

Just got lease numbers. Residual is 38% money factor is 00122. Payment is $1,708 with $1,708 down.

Looks like about $300 more per month or $10k over 36 months.
0.9% here I come!
