I haven't been really able to drive it much. Likely going to sit for a week before I can take it in to get the car PPF'd. Would suck to get a rock chip before then. But the little I did drive it, wow, just wow! These cup 2 tires can really grip! Was a nice Texas 70 degrees or so when I went to pick it up. I haven't pushed it super hard though... being break-in time and all. I did hit a bit of traffic on the way home. It worked out in my favor since that made it a lot less likely to get a rock chip. Not sure why a lot of people complained about how thick the steering wheel was. Actually felt good, but I'm not a big fan of alcantara steering wheels so I swapped that out already. The XPH steering wheel is slightly less thick than the CS wheel though. I spent about 3 hours in the car yesterday just playing with the systems, loading my music on, learning about the car, reading the manuals, etc... Still, just really happy to finally have this car home! The excitement has not worn off yet. My wife, almost damaged the car though. Was windy out and she was opening the door and it swung open. It would've hit the stone pillar if I had parked about 5" more forward. Whew... I love you, honey, but I almost had a heart attack!!! It is weird how so much far forward they have the door handle. Probably would make opening/closing of the door easier if it was more toward the middle for better leverage. |

Congratulations! Great to hear your impression of the color ('cause it looks great in the pics too!) Same spec out as my own except I got PSS's. Having seen MB on an X3 at the dealership it gave me pause.
Woke up to a pleasant surprise this a.m. - my car moved to In Transit! Now I need to plow through all those threads and figure out which ship I'm on. |

I assume that was an after-sale mod (?). I'm looking for a replacement for the default alcantara wheel... |
