Since it's the same trans underneath it can be fixed with software if BMW sees fit to do so. I had an option of taking my HEA M2 as is with the DCT or waiting. Since I thought the DCT in my 1 was good I figured it would be the same so took the HEA. It's not. If they don't fix it I'll be in the camp of wanting the manual.
I did the same as you. I went from a 135 / DCT to the M2 / DCT, based on my previous experience. The accelerator with the M2 appears to be programmed for longer travel and requires a firm press, to make it go. ( more of a n/a feel than a turbo feel)
I preferred the forced induction feel, so installed a e-drive i had hanging around and problem solved.

My concern is not on the throttle feel. It's the DCT response time.

what is an edrive???

I will try mine in auto today and report.

e-drive is the same as a sprintbooster. I havent felt the need to use one before, as the, JB4 DP 135 i have is already very sensitive to throttle input. I cant remember what the 135 felt like std

I was almost sure that the m135i has a ZF8 transmission which is not dual clutch and thus with a much more smoother shifting. I have a 5 series with this ZF8 and drove a m135i with exactly the same transmission. Are you sure you drove a 135i with DCT?
