We've started mocking up our exhaust system and downpipe for the M2. The plan is to offer a completely modular system that will allow you to run a true 3.5" system from the turbo back to the rear muffler, with no compromise is exhaust volume. As of now we plan on keeping the factory electronic valve as well. More details and photos to come once we've got it all mocked up.

From mock up to production what is the turn around time typically? We don't want nothing rushed but something ..... rushed :

Once we have the prototype built and tested, we will know exactly what raw materials are needed and we can begin ordering them in batches. At that time we can begin building them to order in house.

Great to hear. Any sense of price point? Are you aiming to get this above or below the MPE (with tips)?

No official pricing yet but if all goes as planned we should be priced below the full MPE system.

Who's going to be the first with a CBE Ti exhaust on their m2. This M4 has had a handbuilt Ti CBE from Solid Fabrications in Kent, here in the UK....

Nice Ti handiwork, just shame the M4 is being test driven outside a school !

The problem with MPE (in Canada it is $3,500 if ordered with the car) or aftermarket exhausts is the price. After all it is just a muffler... Who can really justify a price over $3K for a muffler ?

I guess that my M2 will stay on the stock exhaust. Not because I don't like loud exhausts, but only because I don't like been stolen...

I would have ordered a MPE at $1,500 right away, but not at $3,500. In not that rich !

Lightweight Performance (German company) has a stainless steel and a titanium exhaust for the M2 as well - unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to hear it - just saw it on their website. It comes with a flap and control and is available in two configurations: The "normal" exhaust and the "performance" exhaust. Both in stainless steel or titanium. They have a very good reputation here in Germany and afaik, EAS is their distribution partner in the US!
