Full refund after Paypal intervention received within a day.
What really pisses me off is their total absence of any communication. 0 kudos if you ask me. |

Any other options for Android auto in 2020?
I emailed bimmertech yesterday and they said they don't know when, if ever, they'll have a module for my car. They said BMW changed hardware. Makes me wonder what hardware we have if we're still idrive 6, and if it's compatible with an idrive 7 hack of some sort.

My X5 G05 now has android auto so it is consistent with what my friend said

Anyone have any luck getting Android Auto on the new M2 CS (2020). The docs and BMW support seem to think that it should be possible because we have July 2020 software Ver 7.
But I can't see it, and there are no software updates. Seems like the CS should have a new enough implementation to support AA. Anyone know what's going on? |

If you're computer savy you can try https://github.com/hufman/AndroidAutoIdrive which I've had decent luck with. |

Yeah its not perfect but I like the fact the music apps are integrating properly with the car like Youtube Music and Poweramp etc and the album art is displayed correctly. Also notifications seem to work well, I have not looked at any of the navigation stuff as this seems a bit pointless due to its limitations but overall its a nice addition.

Having said this Spotify did actually remove the support for Apps for Automotive (A4A) from the app not long ago so it no longer works like it used to but thats another story.... I believe that is what this app is based on using anyway, there must be other apps out there that support this protocol though. |

FYI, you do need an active connected drive subscription for the app to work. The subscription expired on my X3 this past winter and the app would no longer connect to the car and make the magic happen until I resubscribed.

Hello all, just purchased a 2018 M2 and was expecting to have Android Auto.
Can anyone tell me if there's a way to get it without installing a new nav? I've read through the threads but it's hard to tell which years people are referring to. Thank you in advance! |
