Charge Pipe fail...stock M2 with Akrapovic Exhaust.

After almost 17000 Miles (zero track days), the charge pipe of my 2017 m2 failed.
The only modification that I have is Akrapovic exhaust System.

It is worth to mention that the temperature where I live reaches 47°C (116.6°F) at day time, and I'm aware that the failure of the plastic charge pipe is common with N55 engine, therefore I'm planning on upgrading the following:
1- Charge Pipe (Evolution Racewerks)
2- Intercooler (CSF or ER or VRSF)
3- Catted Downpipe (Akra or Fabspeed)

Kindly share your thoughts on the best choices that you recommend to reach the best results with performance and durability.

Thank you all in advance.

I have all VRSF products - DP, Intercooler and Charge Pipe. Great fit, no issues and can't beat the price.

That's my current plan. Bought the VRSF charge pipes but couldn't get them to seal properly.

The only charge pipe I personally know that cracked was a 2016 M2. It had around 150 tracks days before it failed.

I believe that the high temperature played a vital role for mine to be cracked this early.

I still have a couple of years left on my Geico mechanical breakdown insurance, so I just keep these clamps below in my trunk to bandage up a random broken charge pipe, until I get to the dealer and get it replaced, under the coverage.

My CP failed at 33k miles, only mod fhen was the Akra DP w/SportCat

I would say get the Akra DP if you already have Akra exhaust, because matching.

I went with VRSF CP and Boost Pipe and Wagner Evo 1 Competiton FMIC as it is 5" and I don't have any tune. Also did DV+ and love the way the car feels and responds now.

I also did Pure Turbo inlet pipe at the same time.

Your mods sounds great

I have ordered couple of do88 cooling products (charge pipe, turbo pipe, FMIC), will do Akra DP later.

VRSF is great at that price point. ER is the tried and true product for your turbocharged BMWs.

Can't go wrong with Akra, but Fabspeed is one of the top go-to manufacturers for Porsche tuners and their BMW product line has the same top-notch engineering and quality.

We offer all these brands

You cant go wrong with either option, i would pick Fabspeed over Akra downpipe (cheaper and uses HJS cats)

My charge pipe cracked at 2k miles and I was down about 2 psi when I logged the car. Upgraded to ER charge pipes for both hot and cold sides. Also swapped to CSF intercooler.
I would recommend Wagner for downpipe.

Why? It will just break again, risking damage to your engine, why not go with upgraded metal pipe that you know is not a weak link like the oem is?

Never had one pop on me even on the 335's I have owned. But, I only put about 8k miles on my cars in 5 years. I only have 5600 miles on my 17 M2 so far.
