There's been an ongoing question of whether U.S. bound vehicles would be held at VPC until mid-september relating to final clearance by the EPA.

I think the speculation arose when ED for U.S. customers wasn't allowed until 9/17...that and some unusual remarks about "engineering" hold on vehicle orders.

Apologies if this is all old news.

Yea, that's a good combo - I wasn't loving HS at first but that guy's "first M2C ED" pics look really good, and SO seems to work pretty well too, from what I've seen so far. For some reason, that grille and the 788M wheels look a bit 'off' with LBB to me.

Agreed - I think the new car is really suspect to the wheel and color combos - my dad's LCI M2 is LBB + 437M and it is hot.

Not convinced the 788s will produce the same effect...

Hope the new buyer didn't pay the bs $5k markup (or read our light disapproval of that particular color/wheel combo on the new M2C beast ).

Their MSRP BS is the reason I don't do business with them. That and their service department did a number on my wife's X3 back in the day. Never gone back.

I love hearing statements like this. Mainly because M2 owners get so much shit from M3/M4 owners (dmboone25 excluded).

Dude.. I have been thinking the same thing for the longest time! In BSM, it looks like a black pitbull or something. Very muscular and menacing.

I may have to reconsider getting a light color (like HS) and just go LBB or BSM! From all the M2s I have seen, BSM and LBB really work best on the car, IMO. However, I do need to see HS in the metal.

And yes, by looking at TAG's pics of the AW, the M2C looks pedestrian as @#$!

(sorry for 2x post)

That was quick. Guess the $5k market adjustment didn't scare anyone off. Not a fan of the silver finished wheels, they look better with dark colors.

It removes the muscular look. Nothing for the light to play with. I can see the appeal for those that want something very understated. Not for me though.

Although AW does not illustrate the hips as well as a dark color, online images don't help the issue. Cars are hard to photograph well. I may be somewhat partial to white and believe the car's hips and curves are much more evident in real life. I think HS will improve the contrast a little but not as well as the outgoing MG or darker colors of course. I just cannot do a black car (too much love required) so that's out for me.

The car does look a bit slab sided however. I dig the new wheel design but not in these pics. So glad I switched to HS and chose bk. wheels. I am already planning to order 763Ms.

Agree...those wheels aren't working with AW!
Those wheels just plain ain't working.

They don't look good at all, and they are power robbing ankle weights.

Maybe it depends on the SA? I am not sure - but no one mentioned the 5K markup to me yesterday...

Totally understand on the service side - had a similar experience in Plano, TX at Classic BMW. They backed my F80 into something (scratching the bumper) and then called me to ask if I wanted them to fix, and pay for it of course, while the car was there.

That was the end of that relationship.
