That would be a geat drive. Just FYI, I read not too long ago that there was going to be closures and construction on the Ortega highway starting in mid July. I don't know if it is ongoing or not.

Thanks for the heads up! From what I read, I think 5am-9am is the sweet spot, but you're right, it may be closed. I do have a backup plan (Santiago Canyon Rd), although that isn't as much fun.

Just an update: Looks like Ortega is closed this weekend, so we’ll be doing Santiago/Trabuco/Modjeska Canyon instead (supposedly 3 of the best driving roads in Orange County), but meeting at the same place at the same time! Will be basically the same duration/distance as Ortega, too.

In front of the In-N-Out at 30655 Gateway Pl, Rancho Mission Viejo, CA 92694 at 7:00am

Have 10 people going so far: e30, e82 1m, my e92, (2) e92 m3's, (2) f80 m3, f82 m4, g30 m550i, g82 m4 comp

Thank you to AlpsRider for letting me know!

Looks fun, too bad I won’t be able to join since my M2C is at the dealership due to flat tire/broken wheel/damaged caliper

Oh no! Best of luck, does not sound like a fun situation I understand though, just got my car back today after 5 days at the dealership for a new intake manifold, almost thought I wasn't going to make this one myself. Join for the next one!

Sorry, am just now seeing this. We mostly cruise. For reference, although most are M cars, I drive a 328i, so I am definitely not driving "really fast" lol

We are having a PCH cruise in 5 weeks though, would love for you to join!

Mostly just in southern California, but a cruise/rally to NorCal seems like it would be awesome.

I did do a road trip (LA to SF up PCH then back down to LA going through national parks) with a couple buddies in May in our F15 X5, but I'm sure it'd be a great drive with other BMW's.
