For the first one they do. After that it's fairly simple, even taking into account needing to splice a power lead for bluetooth.

Is an MPE the same as an Akra (but in stainless steel)? For some reason I thought I read somewhere it's made by them or something.

Will be onsite when they install it,my dealer only getting a couple of cars, would take it to my regular indie but 2 hour away in Sydney and have you seen the size of it very long so hard to transport.

My sales rep. contacted me today to let me know my production has moved forward and the car should be here in September. Finally some good news!

Yep mine has significantly moved forward as well - said it's actually docking in Aus in the next week or so ready for mid july delivery - that's 2 and a half months ahead of schedule...

Great news guys, the wait will be worth it.

Pretty sure another member is receiving his M2 today, hopefully once he's over the excitement Joe will give us his thoughts.

Not too sure. I've asked my dealer rep and he said there doesn't seem to be any damage report but just said the car is just waiting to be transported. Hope its not a lemon.

Mine finished production on the 15th March but wasn't loaded on a vessel until the 6th April so it can sometimes take a while.

Lets hope so. The strange thing was the m2 with the VIN number after mine was loaded on the boat and shipped on the 1st of June. So far it has missed 3 Vessels coming to Aus, cars with a later production date were also loaded and shipped.

Look at it this way: it's probably better you didn't have the car for the long weekend with double demerits. M2 + double demerits = Catching the bus =)

Have replaced my front grilles and side gills to the gloss black, grilles were included in the cost of the car but i think are about $400 odd, side gills cost me $220 from the dealer.

You can buy the M235i performance front grilles though which are half the price of the M2 onces and just swap out the chrome surrounds to the black on your stock ones.

Hey vintage picking up from Canterbury bmw in Sydney. MG DSG with roof.
Also I learnt how to track the car from wharf to dealership. It's obviously dependent on whether it's handled by a company called Prix car or not. But if it is handled by these guys PM me for the link all you need is the last 8 digits of the vin.
