Autotecknic fender trim dry carbon fiber defect?

I went to install these today and there are no clips. Does anyone have these? This is a defect correct?

Use 3m tape, it's should work perfectly

There is tape on them, the clips are used to line them up though?

Looks like they are over lays and fit right over the OEM ones. If not mistaken by the photo

Looks like they are over lays and fit right over the OME ones. If not mistaken by the photo

No man, they are direct replacements for the stocks ones, but the stock ones have clips where the posts are on the carbon fiber ones.
