M Performance Brakes?

What is the difference between the M Performance brakes and the standard brakes on the US version of the M2 Competition?

They weren't offered as an option to me from my dealership. As far as I can tell they are just red...

The color. That's pretty much it from what I can tell.

Same brakes, so same weight. The only difference is the color, it's not in the option list, it's an aftermarket product like the M Performance exhaust or all the carbon stuff.
It is clearly insane to spend that amount just to change the color of the calipers.

Different pads and same caliper but red, hence oem MPBBK pads will fit std fit USDM msport silver/grey calipers.

Ok. However they're still +16kg compared to the blue ones that deliver the same (sloppy) performance on a track. Just sayin'

the optional big brake kit( optional at least for italy) delivers good performance on a track. night and day compared with the blue standard.
