Thanks for sharing. Good timing as I have been debating if the G87 M2 is the better replacement for my DCT M2CS that I just sold recently. I can't help but think how irreplaceable and exclusive the M2CS is and this video may have swayed me to consider a manual CS instead.

Looks like we may have taken the same path in terms of past cars owned. M3CS is a great car and the HUD made me miss it on the M2CS. The extended leather was also a nice touch on the M3CS as well. Good stuff man !

You mentioned about rev match in the video. Can you elaborate ? Are the pedals too far apart ? -

I had no problem heel/toe rev match on my E90 M3 and also the M4. The pedal spacing seem to have not change and carried over since the E3x days. The auto rev match the new cars have nowadays would annoy the hell out of me.

I missed manual after owning a M3 CS for several years. In terms of exclusivity, it's the only "-CS" model that offered a manual option to date. Although the latter didn't sway my opinion, it does add a level of "uniqueness" and "specialness" to ownership.

Thanks!

I think you're ahead of me! I'm looking to add a 911 GTx at some point in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Porsche Driving Experience at their ATL headquarters. M cars and 911s are different IMO and each deserve a spot in the garage.

I agree with you completely. I miss the HUD and leather on the M3 CS. Those were great features that I wish would have made it to the M2 CS.

In terms of the rev match, mine is automatic. Is that not the case for you? I think there was a thread about this, but I haven't read through it yet. I asked my SA to turn this feature off, but they said they could not. If my memory is correct, I owned a M4 Comp that auto-rev matched in Comfort, but would turn off in Sport and Sport Plus. In generations prior to the F8x, I would big toe / little toe because the pedals were close enough together (E9x and E46).

M2C and M2 CS rev matching will turn off if you turn off traction control completely.

I'm merely stating a fact. I didn't advise anyone to do anything. I'm just telling you what the car does. Do you have a problem with that? Owners should know what their car will do just in case they ever turn off TC.

My favorite time is on a mountain pass, after an ice storm, in my cup 2s.
