What is this new prototype

If this video is indeed suggesting that the new prototype is faster than the M4CSL. What is it? Is it on the same platform or would this be the Neue Klasse? That's darn impressive it if beats a 7:18 on the NR.

The M3CS is quick. If they make a M3CS Touring it would be a rare and capable machine. One of the main pulls of the M2CS is it's low production and utility. An M3CS Tour would be hard to ignore.

The prototype is the upcomming M4 CS. Similar weight to M4 CSL, but its running xDrive and slightly more power.

This would make no sense though? Why would they let a CS be faster than CSL.

I have my name down for one. The M3 Touring is brilliant and a CS Touring would be too hard to knock back.

It would be hard not to given they decided to have CSL as RWD only.

I hate to say it, but a m3CS touring might be enough to get me to part ways with my CS. I don't know. It would cause me significant inner strife.

If you watch Misha Charoudin's YouTube channel he drives the m3 touring. He references a strong likelihood for a CS version. Normally I wouldn't put a lot of weight in a comment like that, but BMW seems to be using him to test their cars. He indicated he wants to buy one. I'm thinking of starting a list at my dealership just in case.

I think it’s game on. The extra cost to deploy wouldn’t be that high given they’ll already have released a G80 and G82 CS by then. And the G81 has quite a run to go. What a way to usher out the G8x and whet the appetite for the return of the touring 3 series to the US market.

Bro wtf don't do it. Just add the g81 on top if you really need a vehicle with that capacity. I promise you no matter how much weight they drop you'll never get the CS feel on it like you do with your f87. Totally different cars but that's just my opinion

I hear you, BUT

if, as intimated by another poster, the CS weighs the same as the CSL, and has xDrive, then it's actually lighter than the CSL (if xDrive is removed) - it was also said that there would be more power .... none of that makes sense to me

The last real BMW CS is no longer made. I’m happy to own this piece of history.
