I'll try what everyone here is suggesting, left hand grab from underneath or above. :/ seems like an "alright" solution. This issue felt specifically bad in the m2c, much worse than others I've driven. B pillar just very very far back, and natural proper seating position quite a bit farther forward (I'm guessing I sit farther forward than most everyone else, every single time someone gets in my car they haveto put the seat back a half foot :/ ) |

The problem I encounter is the actual buckled part of the belt getting austin powered between the seat bolster and door card. I have to do some hand rigamarole to allow it to pass through.

You can also use the belt holder that comes with the M2C's seat.
See the following image. This is obtain from the 2020 M2C Owner's manual. Page 91. I've never used it though, I just reach for it using my right hand (My car is RHD) when it is handing on the b-pillar. I'm quite flexible however. |

I'm pretty sure my 2020 doesn't have that hook. I dunno though, in a LHD car, it seems very easy and natural to just reach down with my left hand and then grab the bottom part of the belt.

I reach over my chest with my right hand - and every time I do I wish I had the fun E92 extender... why all the hate for that funny bit of kit, I love it!
I might give this underhand left hand technique everyone's talking about a go... |

If you go through the bolster like I do by accident because I am 6'5" and 6' of that is torso - your buckle turns into Austin Powers as seen above. Last edited by Proctor750; 01-07-2020 at 01:22 PM.. |

Anyways, I noticed the awkward seat belt positioning the first week of M2C ownership, then I forgot about it (not even sure how I grip the belt nowadays, but it's not a problem anymore). |

It's there, go take a look. I have a June 2018 build 2019 M2C, and it's present on mine.

so do you slide the belt in after you step out but before shutting the door? I can't wait to try this when I get home but am sure it will be the only time I bother |

OMG people. Sit in the car. With your left hand reach to the bottom of the seat belt. Grab it with your hand and pull.
What is so difficult about this. Every two door car I've owned has been this way. Sheesh. |
