asked Carvana to a value a 2019

I like to see what carvana says they will pay for a used M2c I'm looking at. It's a 2019 with DCT and 20k miles. Carvana returned the attached.

I've never seen an M2C under 49K... so I don't even know where those KBB value numbers came from.

But you can save up to $1,602 in sales tax if you trade in through Carvana! The math works in your favor, right?

Wow. When I messed around and did this back in January for my 2020 when I was thinking of making an impulse decision into a 911, vroom offered me $52k. That drop is nuts. I'm sure they are feeling the squeeze of this COVID recession, and their algo (like Carvana's) is all over the place. I bet one of the inputs is volume of sales, or something similar, which is causing the massive swing. Either that or they are taking advantage of people who are desperate and need to unload cars quick. Or they have too much inventory and don't want to stock up unless someone is stupid enough to give them a car they can mark up by 70% of what they paid,

This just confirms that everyone really needs to hold on to their M2C for at least another year with the hope that the economy and values recover.

Vroom offered me $51K on my one year old base 2019 M2C with 7K mikes a few months ago. Caravana from memory was a few grand below that.

Interesting. I've been tracking some m2c, sunroof, dct, exec under 10k cars since October and vroom for 19/20 is at 48k

My quote at the time was verbal. They follow up by phone, and you can ask for a higher offer to what they email you with. What I listed was the higher offer. YMMV.

You may be able to get more, or have the selling price reduced, if trading in on one of their cars. That is supposition on my part.

they usually go off of auction sales and there own demand...your trying to sell your car during covid-19 when car sales are pretty much 0 and the auctions are probably closed.

Its like trying to sell ice to eskimos or trying to sell your car in 2009. I would probably wait till after june. Give the market time to bounce back.

I had a Vroom offer for my 2018 M2 (exec, DCT, 18k miles) on March 13th and it was for $39500. Today it is 25k. So if you are looking to buy a car without trading, I am sure there will be some great deals. If you need to trade, probably not a great time.

They're basically saying, "We're not buying anything right now."

surprised it took this long for someone to say it. They don't want to buy anyone's cars since it's going to be hard right now to sell just their current inventory.

But if someone is super strapped for cash then they'll buy the car of the poor bloke
