It's slightly amusing that we have people here from the East, recommending dealers from the West, and people from the West, recommending dealers from the East :-)

This probably says something, but I'm just not sure what :-)

Welcome to the internet age .

Also has anyone ver ordered from https://www.bmwdiscountparts.com? I'm getting ready to buy a few thousand dollars of parts, and they are a few hundred dollars cheaper (comparing the prices to omasou's recommendation of oembimmerparts.com)

I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on this purchase, but some positive feedback from someone who has used that site would be helpful.

I find Sun Motor’s eBay prices are even lower than what I am quoted over the phone.

Same. I just bought a carbon trim piece from them for a really good price on Ebay. Added them to my saved list.

There might be some sort of prohibition on international shipping that BMW puts on its dealers, either that or they just don't want to deal with it.

I would think that some of the independent parts suppliers (ECS, Turner, etc. etc. etc.) would ship across borders.

Get PO box in Niagara Falls USA and ship it there. Drive across the border and pick it up.

Brian Keller at sun motors is your guy

After reading the posts here, I called Brian. Sure enough he gave the best price, even better than online.

I got full set of brakes for 328xi.

From my experience, It depends on the item and the cost of shipping..

One dealer might have a particular part cheaper that other but when you factoring in the cost of shipping (VS free shipping, tax, ect), it makes sense to weight in the overall cost of the item to you, delivered..

The great thing about living in the smartphone generation, is it makes price comparisons a game instead of a chore..

Ahh no wonder I've dealt with him on many occasion and the experience have been excellent. I've email him several times and didn't get a response. Do you happen to know if they still offer discount on parts there?

Brian is enjoying retirement with his wife.

I cried a little when I found out in November . He had a good thing going on there.
