Arrow Manhart Performance: MH2 630...

Wuppertal, Germany...

So... last we I wrote about how I heard(and how AutoMotor und Sport) also reported that ///M is thinking about building a harder care M2. Initial reports say BMW will call it an M2 GTS. The car will be a lighter, more powerful version of the current M2 powered by the M4 GTS's S55 engine. And the price tag will be around 120K euros. For those that missed this story... here is the link...

M2 GTS rendering... and M2 GTS model rumored to have S55 from M4 GTS

Well... fast forward a week, and it looks like someone has beaten BMW to the punch!! Manhart Performance in Wuppertal, Germany.

Manhart will build only five(or so) of these "special" hard car M2's. Powered by an S55 engine making 630 PS(Hp) & 700Nm of torque, ceramic brakes, special seats, carbon fiber roof and all the fun bits to go along with it. 0-100 kph is (calculated at) 3.6 seconds with the DCT. Your choice of transmission. And the price... well... expect to pay over six digits. So yeah... probably what BMW will be charging in a few years(for their version). Only you get to drive this car now!

Weight savings isn't huge but slightly less... The standard M2 weighs in at 1.570 Kilograms while Manhart's MH2 630 comes in at 1.540 Kilograms.

Power:
630PS, 700Nm

Motor:
3.0l Biturbo from the M4
MANHART ecu tuning
MANHART larger FMIC
MANHART custom Turbo(s)

Exhaust:
MANHART stainless steel custom exhaust
HJS 300 cell catted Downpipe

Suspension:
MANHART custom coilovers by KW
Carbon strut tower brace

Wheels & Tires:
Front: Michelin Cup 2 265/35 ZR19 auf MANHART Concave ONE
Rear: Michelin Cup 2 295/30 ZR19 auf MANHART Concave ONE

Brakes:
Front: 380x38mm 6 piston ceramic brakes
Rear: 370x30mm 4 piston ceramic brakes

Exterior:
Carbon engine hood
Carbon Front Splitter
Carbon Diffuser M Performance
Carbon rear spoiler M Performance
Carbon winged inlets M Performance

Interior:
MANHART Leder-Alcantara interior trim with gold contrast stitching
Alcantara sport steering wheel
Recaro Sportster CS Sportseats
Awron Display(ac vent pc)

Manhart's M2 has a massage engine from the M4, with a custom turbos, larger FMIC, and their own tuning(ECU). A custom stainless steel exhaust and a 300 cell cat(s). All make for a more hard core package for the enthusiast.

Here are some photos... The car looks pretty amazing. But as always, any paying customer wishes - will be catered to. Car color, interior, etc.

HOW would you spec yours?

At first glance I'm thinking the rear end is too light without a larger rear wing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, blacking out the fangs clashes too much with the design. The fangs are key to making the design work; covering them up causes the front end make no sense.

Definitely needs a wing to balance out that front splitter for both performance but also design balance IMO.

Their colour schemes are always a huge turn off, would love to see more conservative/uniform paint job

"What's the ugliest color and wheels can we put on our new M2 show car to present to the world?"

And they put them both on this car!

I'm guessing you are referring to the indoor pictures as the outdoor pictures seems to be M5 wheels.

IDK... I kind of like the fangs being highlighted in carbon fiber. To each his own. I am sure the owner of this car is enjoying his ride.

I'd like to know more about the carbon fiber roof and whether they'll sell it a la carte...

There are already other vendors selling the roof and I think iND had some plans for a version too.

Colour scheme can be selected for sure in every possible way.
The performances are really impressive!
I would have opted for a Ti exhaust 😉

The hood and front lip look stupid, I hate black rims, and the color is gross unless you're a big Goldmember fan. Other than that, nice/tasteful job.

Aesthetics aside, as they're entirely subjective, it's hilarious to me that the aftermarket has done a better job of building a proper M2 than BMW did.

The aero and paint is garish AF, but that S55 is plenty of fire under that dress.
