I've just checked with BMW c/services and there hasn't been a press release about a price rise as yet which is good news for everybody.

Also a little bit of good news for me.My order has just gone 5500 and has been brought forward a smidge to week 30 delivery.
One thing they can't answer is whether it has the new i- drive 5,although it has been confirmed that the wireless charging and WiFi hot spot is on it.

How did you spec the wireless charging for the UK? I was at the dealers on Weds and it wasn't an option available on my build.

Oh and it is LBB - 6MT - W29 build and W33 delivery

Perhaps your dealer is not up to speed

I've just double checked my build sheet

( 6NW ) " Enhanced Bluetooth with wireless charging "

Hey JustChris! I am still waiting for the detailer to finish, should be done by the weekend.

But my word, what an epic little beast! It's been a hell of a long wait but it has been so worth it! Everything about it just feels so right. There are some very very minor issues but nothing that should bother whilst driving.

So in addition to the standard features, it's got:

Vis Pack
Sun Pro
Heated steering wheel
Reverse camera
auto dimming, folding mirrors
lumbar
seat heating
Driving Assistant
HK
Speed limit display

I toyed with the comfort access but as I've never had it, I didn't think I'd be too bothered.

I really LOVE the car

Excellent to hear. How do you find the HK in the 2, have you had in other BMW's?

The HK isn't bad to be honest. It's not brilliant but for a sound system that has come from the factory, it's pretty decent.

I tend to put my own kit in my cars usually - amps, subs, tweeters etc but I'll wait for the HK to break in and then decide what to do. Hopefully by that time, they will have bedded in anyway.

I've got HK in my M135i and E92 M3. I changed a load of stuff in the M135i but haven't touched the M3. Don't feel the need given the V8!

I just heard from my dealer that my car (orig. build week 28) is already built so a good coupla weeks ahead of schedule.
She also confirmed that it is an MY17 car with iDrive 5.0.

So it's sat chilling in Germany now, waiting for a boat across but will hopefully be here by end of July(ish). Hope it doesn't come any earlier as I'm in the states till then and would be gutted to know it's arrived and I can't drive it yet.

Still, I just thought I'd let anyone know that it seems the cars built in week 26 (or poss even 25) DO come with the MY17 updates like iDrive 5.0 and wi-fi hotspot. Apparently the wireless charging is an option that is linked to 'advanced bluetooth'.

Good news on the idrive for you.

So would you say 2-3 weeks forward then?

Probably at least that. Depends how long it sits waiting for a boat, really.
Getting close though - very excited.

Nice
It looks like our cars will be on the boat together, after a call today I have the same story as you.

It sounds like your dealer is saying the same as mine,as I've ordered the advanced Bluetooth ( 6NW ) and the wireless hot spot is 6WD

Edit:

The WiFi hotspot is only in conjunction with 6NW.

Edit 6wd.
Great stuff - hearing my car is early felt like xmas come early.
I didn't spec advanced BT myself but am chuffed to get the new iDrive.

If, by any chance, you hear which boat they're on, lemme know as I'd love to track it across the sea and into Southampton.

Any update ?

I've just checked with BMW today and my order is still stuck on 5500 and it's been nearly three weeks "assembly complete"

Ah sorry dude... Without meaning to rub it in, I got the call from my dealer yesterday to say mine is here and I could go and collect it. Which would be great if I wasn't on my jollies in the states for most of July.

Will be picking it up on Sat 30th. Beyond excited and will spend most of the holiday waiting for it to end so I can get back for the car.

Trying to track down all M2's produced in MY16 as I did for NA M2's
http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...ghlight=MY2016

Can any of you kindly provide me with a short VIN (several would be better!) of any RHD 1H92 M2? You can even leave out the last two numbers!

Then I can back track and try to see how many 1H92's were built in MY2016 and add to the 1H93 and 1H91 numbers!.

Thanks

Feel free to PM if you prefer.

Cheers

Would do if I was issued, might be worth trying to PM one of the UK guys above who is close to receiving theirs. Good work on the VIN detective work! Did you say that M2 production ramped up a lot in May June in another thread?

They set up a bunch of new cars (over 500 I believe) but none have been built since June 24th - seems like they may be retooling or on collective holidays.

Doesn't seem like it ramped up though, still on track for 2,000 or so units in the US, and I expect other country's targets to stay unchanged for now.

Yes it seems that way. I haven't all the numbers crunched for euro and do not have the RHD's but about 1700 M2's euro and NA were produced through June 24, 2016.

almost 30%, 496, were produced in the last month of production from May 23, 2016 through June 24, 2016.

M2 production resumed July 11, 2016. I suspect MY17 will show an increase in M2 production.

I really would like the RHD numbers to finalize this!
