So, we all hold our collective breath until tomorrow. I have an appointment to see my dealer rep on Wednesday. I plan to shit or get off the pot this week, so I hope the speculation about them knowing something about allocations tomorrow is accurate.

There is currently one and only one allocation for the entire country right now and BMW of Minnetonka.com is getting it.

From the various threads I've read on this, other cars can get a free software update (if they select the option) but it won't be fitted from the factory. Starting 08/16, it'll be fitted at the factory.

EDIT: Any CA want to check today since we are all on the edge of our seats?

If you don't mind paying ADM... I found 2 dealers that offered it for MSRP for 2016 out of 300+ I called all east of the Mississippi (both sold out of course). I'd expect at least 61k for the car without any packages or options added based on 5k ADM and the price increase for 2017. I wouldn't say the two are in the same league. Performance wise, the GT350 might be better, but the fit and finish of the BMW will be much nicer. Based on my experience of sitting in both (an M235i that is).

Just food for thought.

I will call around when my M2 slot comes up LOLOL. Im not paying ADM on a car at this point. That and I dont like American car dealerships for service after being spoiled by lexus. Having to pay 56k for a car with a blaupunkt radio looking bothers me as it is.. The mustang sounds absurd though.. Sadly in NYC insurance rate is also a consideration

Doesn't seem like anybody received any updates. One guy claims to have receive an allocation but that's the only news so far.

I'm meeting with the sales manager at my dealer on Wednesday morning. I've been emailing him for months. Time for a face to face and I'll find out what I can about his allocation status. If there is any useful information, I'll post it, but I'm not holding my breath. No one, including the dealers, seem to know what the hell is going on with allocations.
