It's factually not a "plain old" N55 so maybe you should read up more? Lol

Not really. It does have the same engine code: N55.... but mechanically it IS different from the N55 engine in the M235i. Read up!!

Few engine parts for strength and longevity so it can be tracked and thrashed true M car !
To me Its just an N55 built how is should be.

BUT what I'm interested in is as follows:
1. Turbo any different ?
2. Cooling for oil ?
3. Fuel pump and capacity at higher power levels ?
4. Intercooler upgraded ?
5. Cat is High Flow 200cel ?
6. ECU a PITA ?

Time will tell I guess

Sounds really good despite cell phone mic.

Also cool to see rev limiter seems to be at 7200rpm

Interesting. The exhaust sounds almost identical to my 235i with MPE and valve open but the induction noise sounds sportier (synthesized?). If the stock exhaust is already as loud as my car with MPE, what will the M2 MPE add besides a hole in your wallet and a bluetooth gimmick?

Do we know if the stock M2 exhaust has a valve that opens in sport modes?

Geschwindigkeitswarnung = speed warning = maximum 240 km/h with winter tires.

Alternative remedy: get the manual.

It sounds brutally good, and acceleration is as we hopped to be!

M2 130-200, and makes in almost 8 sec
M3/4 130-200 7 sec.

+ it wasn't full straight pull from 100 km/h

Sounds pretty good to me. I find the microphones for most camera's and phones to not be great at replicating exhaust tones and of course a tremendous amount of the tone is the environment (enclosed garage versus open space etc). Overall it sounds like the car is getting plenty of natural exhaust note in the cabin which is likely due to dumping insulation and the fake exhaust stuff in the radio. It is interesting to see that European cars are getting silver wheels where we are getting the mostly black wheels.

The wheels are silver bc they are winter wheels! The summer wheels will be those black/silver ones we have seen on the M2 models - at the car shows.

The silver wheels will be for winter tyres. Mandatory for countries like Germany at this time of year I believe (You don't have to fit them in the UK for example) .

I like single turbocharger sounds~
The N54 (twins) sounds great. It's not due to the twins vs. the single.

A few engine parts?

You mean like all the major components?

It has a different block, crank, pistons, etc.

I'm betting the turbo on this car is up-sized vs. the standard N55s. We could have a good bit of headroom in it if we're lucky.
