Inner Diameter of Pure Inlet
FTP came out with a newer version of their turbo inlet that is larger diameter - But I have no idea how it compares to the PURE inlet. Does anyone have a measurement?
Edit: MST has one listed as well.

This post from JKen_0115 compares the V1 FTP with the Pure: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...0&postcount=86
On FTP’s site, they’re showing a measurement of 51.54mm (2.03in) for V2, which looks to still be smaller than the new Pure inlet (2.27in). Altho, I’m hoping to hear if people are happy with the V3 of the Pure inlet that is supposed to fix some seal/leak/mount issues? |

Didn't realise FTP or pure have had design re-work done.
Can confirm V2 FTP inlet pipe out in the wild, contacted an ebay reseller that confirmed V2 is out. very cheap compared to the pure, tempted one day. Can't see any evidence of a V3 Pure pipe? Last edited by 3t3p; 05-02-2020 at 02:42 AM.. |

I'm not sure if silicone is a good choice for our inlet pipe. Can it withstand the heat from being near the exhaust while under boost? Anyone have any specs on this?

Are you sure MST v1 isn't 1.83" ID ie same as stock given they quoted 47mm to you ??

Any particular reason why you'd go for the narrower diameter for the MST? It's an option for 'Stock' vs 'Hybrid' turbo.
Surely even if you were going to stick with stock forever, a larger diameter would not be a negative? Perhaps to avoid the hard transition to the narrower aperture at the turbo itself?

Pure V2 - as per V1 but you buy it pre-installed into oem inlet pipe - FWIW I had this on m135i and now have it on my M2. Pure V3 - whole pipe one piece replacement 2 releases earlier (V3a) - w/o support bracket and current (V3b) - with support bracket
