I don't have either. Just a hole under glove box and no USB.

In US I "think" we get one in front of cup holder, one in center console for the rear and one in trunk for cooler? I may order an extra 12V for the hole under the dash and hope the wiring loom has a place to plug it in. If anyone that has the 12V under the dash and removes the lower cover for some reason would you please take a picture of where it plus in? Thanks. |

Checked the X6 and it does not have a socket under the glove box. There's not even an empty cut out for one.

If my mind serves me correctly, I believe US MY '16's had these but they were discontinued from '17 onward. Not sure if they brought them back for the '19 M2C or not.

Bummer, would have been perfect for the fuzzbuster, rather than cluttering up the cup holder area. But I just have the empty hole. Mine doesn't even have the USB port in the cup holder. Wonder if BMW really pays attention to all the detail specs. Almost seems random.

The 5 series and above gets the additional 12V cigarette outlet, under the glove box, in US-spec vehicles, standard. |

Run that properly to the trunk area behind the back seat.

I wish the 12 v sockets only powered up when the car turns on. What’s the point if you have to unplug your dash cam every time you turn the car off ..why do they do it this way ?

I had the socket under the glovebox in my 4 series and was where I plugged in my dashcam. I looked for it in the M2C yeah it's just a hole. I had to run the cable behind the passenger seat to the socket behind the arm rest.
The 12v sockets do turn off with the car but only after 5-10 minutes idle after shut off/lock.
