Bimmercode app just got updated...
Let's see if the Instrument Cluster (KOMBI L7_MID) option is finally available for the EU spec M2Comp, so that I can disable that annoying gear shift indicator without delving into e-Sys. (fingers crossed)

I know it's been discussed in here before, but the more I understand bimmercode the more perplexed I am about control of the exhaust flaps.

Consider the Macht Schnell ECV control box (https://machtschnell.com/exhaust-val...vc-module.html). It does a whole bunch of things you can already do in bimmercode, but it also adds control of the exhaust flaps. Surely, it must somehow be possible in Bimmercode as well...

Did I miss some place in the thread where this was discussed already? (I searched the thread, but I may have missed it)

I do realize bimmerlink will work for this, but iHate apple (android guy). Guess I could run an emulator and run the apple app regardless...

It's not possible with BimmerCode or any other coding solution.

But why? Technical jargon welcome (mechanical engineer here).

Because there is no „option" to code this. It's not ment to be coded this way.

Bimmerlink and all the other hardware solutions can control the flaps via OBD „on the fly".

Ahh. I see what you mean, now. Yeah, that just turns it off. I've never seen those other displays. I'd be thrilled if when you turned off that efficient dynamics thing the gear indicator would get bigger (DCT). THAT would be cool.

Any way to code off the 37* warning with bimmercode, really annoying in the winter...

Did my first coding with bimmercode and Bluetooth dongle with Android phone. Worked great. ASD off, mirror fold with 0.5s delay, seatbelt warnings off, iDrive warning off. So much better without the ASD drone!

Darn...well hopefully there's some easy coding to get that fixed. I see EAS offers it but I'd rather use Bimmercode or E-Sys. Anyone know?

Bimmercode

Can you enable easy entry/exit for the drivers seat through the Bimmercode, if so, where do you find it?

This. That would be more useful. Screen is small as it is, taking up so much space for the silly mpg gauge is a waste.

Can you code ASD off for specific modes or does it have to be all or nothing? I think I would turn it off in Sport and leave it on in Sport+

Good to know. Still on the fence about coding but it’s very tempting to turn ASD off and enable VLD on the adaptive headlights.

With Bimmercode, how do you return to stock?

I'm about ready to try Bimmercode. After making changes, when I need to take the car into service, how do I change the car back to stock where the dealer can't see I've made any changes? Is there a quick way to do this like with tunes where you can flash back to stock?

Thanks.

I don't think your dealer is going to care that you used BimmerCode... what have you coded?
