This is very strange. I took delivery on April 8th and it was included. I note that I ordered the car in January. When did your friend order the car?

I agree, as I took delivery on April 6th and my dealer had no problems with the fleet discount. My friend was denied in May even though he took delivery in April. His dealer is just being a jackass.

The M2 was taken off Fleet as of May 2, 2017 - if you had a priority order in the order bank prior to this date, you still qualify. Priority 1 = Customer Sold Unit - doesn't matter if you have an allocation yet. I got it in writing from BMW. Hope this helps.

Would this be the case if I put a down a deposit for an '18 a couple months ago? How does one find out if they're status 'Priority 1'?

Thanks, that's helpful info. I have it in writing that my order was P1 with an email from my dealer that they'd honor the fleet discount, but all of that was back in April. Car won't arrive until July so fingers crossed I won't have issues then.

Any chance you can send me a copy of this as I'm dealing with my dealership on this right now.

Big Thanks!

Update - I took a picture of ILIKEBMW'S post and offered to call BMWNA to double check and they honored it. Saved $2500. Thanks again for posting this.

My car just reached port and it should arrive at the dealer next week, so I emailed them for a general update and got this:

The corporate program no longer supports the M2. I am working with BMW to get an exception.

Hopefully the dealer can sort it out but I'll call BMW Corporate if that's what it takes.

Soo.. If your vehicle was listed as a priority 1 sold order prior to May 2nd or 4th - when the M2 was taken off the program, then you're all set - I got an email from BMW. I had a very situation.

However, I recently picked up an allocation at another dealer who had an open slot and they got an exception from BMW :-) and I'm getting the $2500 off although not buying from the original dealer that I had the order pending. Thus, things are not impossible :-)

I'd be interested in how any of you are actually getting your dealers to honor this or make an exception. I have an order on a 2018 that's status 150, and the dealer is telling me he is unable to get an exception through BMW to honor the $2500 discount.

Here's the other thing...I actually picked this order up in progress when another buyer backed out. So I'm guessing, but not sure, that the order went Priority 1 prior to May 2nd. How do I find that out?

Doesn't matter - they will argue "your" order only came in later...but your CA/SA should be able to tell you the date.

Also, the previous posters' cars were all MY17's and only a few weeks of production of those ran into this issue. MY18 is excluded altogether.

I have an email with the order sheet PDF from April that shows I was priority 1. My SA sent it to me, so if BMW Corporate needed proof, then my SA should be able to provide it to them.

Good to hear your recent experience on still getting the discount, fingers crossed!

My car is MY17 and it's also my understanding that no MY18 cars are eligible.

My car is MY17 and it's also my understanding that no MY18 cars are eligible.
Yours should definitely be eligible then and it's nice that you have all that paperwork to back it up. The poster I was referring to said he had a MY18.

Awesome. Maybe corporate wanted to verify the orders that weren't delivered by May 2?

None of these are MY18 due to the production date. MY18 just started one or two weeks ago.

MY18's have been delivered in Europe already. They started production in the 3rd week of June.

Oh lawd, 3 weeks ago instead of 2!

Joking aside, my point was that the cut off was May 2nd, long before MY18 entered production.

MY17. Order placed in late Feb. Took delivery July 4. Took full year and LCI depreciation hit later that same day.
