Eco mode on startup change

Can I change the starting mode from eco to sport? There was an option in bimmer code but it doesn't seem to make that change. I understand i can just push the M button

No, the only way (outside of coding) to start the car in sport or sport+ mode is to press the Start button, select M1 (or whatever setting you have sport/+, then clutch and Start button. This starts the car in any mode.
