Reviving this thread to ask this question:

Did any of your with rear window tint have an installer that refused to tint the rear window? My installer won't do it because the software he is using to cut the tint (I'm guessing that is what it does) gives a warning message about computer modules under the rear glass that should not get wet.

Anyone heard of this issue?

Had mine done in Virginia/DC area right after purchasing mine.
Never said anything about that.
I made sure to tell the installer that he’s gotta be careful with the amplifier in the trunk, as it’s been known to suffer water damage during tint jobs.
No issues.

Try a different installer.

Thanks for the info.

I'm surprised the amp would be afffected. I thought it was farther back, closer to the bumper.

SO in bright sun. The dealer did the tint, I don't recall the % but nothing on the windshield. Within NC legal limits.

Even if it's legal, in my experience police tend to notice cars with darker tint.

I wish we could use tint that dark here in NH, but our limit is much lower. Can't tint the side or front windows at all.

50% on window is as good as no tinting, you are better off leaving it stock

50% but went with the highest quality I could. I wanted heat rejection but I also like natural light when driving, hence the lighter color.

Wheels are powder coated. Makes a world of a difference. Wheels look 100X better.

Powdercoated to gloss or matte black.
