I am ordering mine with Orange stitching, and will be getting the MP shift boot kit. Will the stitching on the boot match the rest of the car? Hopefully it won't be blue.

Can someone point me a US version with prices if it's out yet?

Is the hood available in painted body color (entire hood and dome) or is the power-dome gloss CF only?

Painting is done at the dealer, it comes in primer with the power-dome being in gloss CF. You can ask the dealer to paint it in any color and paint it completely including the power-dome.

I love my Akra on my e92. Fit and finish is second to none.

With that said Akra sounds pretty bad on the S55 IMO.

The CF dome can be painted?

That would be very nice for people getting this car IMO. Love the power-dome on my F80.

Anyone know if the CF fenders can be fitted to the normal F87?

So far only the existing parts are available. The new parts have yet to be released(grill, splitter, hood, trunk, roof, exhaust, etc).

The carbon fibre roof can't be fitted at the current plant where the M2 is made apparently the line is not equipped for it - that's what I was told by BMW.

Thank You for the response.

In my meaningless subjective opinion, I really like the Carbon Fiber rear trunk cover. It sharpens the otherwise very smooth appearance of the car's rear. The hood looks sweet too!

This combined with the CF front, rear, side diffusers, and mirrors - together they make an affordable CF package to an otherwise expensive but "Awesome" full on CF look!

My guess is that the rear trunk cover will cost close to 4k+ USD. Out of my league, even when financed. I plan to just get a simple CF spoiler in that case. Lol, or buy and Audi instead, lol.

Does anyone know the status of the three "M" colored decals for the front scoop intake and the rear bumper above the diffuser? Will those be a separate option or combined with other decal packages, like the hexagonal side shapes? My guess is that they are a common size to all types of M cars. Tks, Paul

Why no front splitter available on the US Spec M2 Comp?

I've got my white comp being delivered to Colorado in 4-6 weeks, but the dealer showed me the M parts available, and no front splitter and no hood or roof were on the list ... what gives?? Anyone have an answer? -- Just saw the dealer list posted above. Any idea when the new parts will be available then?

So the MPE is straight forward enough but the CF roof seems more extensive than I was expecting. Am I reading that PDF correctly that it's a 12.5 hour install that also includes replacing the windshield and rear window?

A lightwight battery still seems the „cheapest“ way to cut relatively much weight...

Still open questions:

- will a 3rd party or M4 Li-Ion Batters void warrenty?
- is it a problem for traction?
- wheight distribution...?

Yeah dropping weight from only the lighter end of the car makes me a little nervous. I think lighter wheels and lighter 6/4 piston brakes is the easiest evenly distributed weight cut. Obviously not nearly as inexpensive as a battery swap. I'll likely do MPE first for a number of reasons and then lighter wheels. I'll see how she feels/sounds/looks after those.

I found some lightweight batteries that Porsche owners use. They weigh about 11lbs and cost around $700 but the problem is nobody knows how to code the ECU so that the you won't get any flags, warnings due to battery management system (BMS) being disconnected. If you want to learn more about this, check out this thread on the F80 forum.

Removing 50lbs from the rear with a simple battery change might affect traction and slightly change weight distribution. My goal is to combine the lightweight battery (-50lbs) with CF hood (-20lbs) to balance things out little bit. It still means more weight reduction from the rear but better than not removing anything from the front. Or maybe find another battery that provides less weight savings (e.g. 30lbs)
