If you're talking about the "high precision injection system", they're referring to the fuel injection system, not a water or meth injection system.

Ok that's what I thought, it seemed too good to be true! Love those BMW marketers...

I think the M235i Racing looked better. Just having it street legal was all that was needed.

Just FYI: the race track in the first video (long-haired driver) is Circuito de Jerez, in Spain.
I was there when Michael Schumacher won the GP of Europe, waaaay back in 1994.

Anyone else notice that the door sills don't have M2 on them? Just "M"

Speaking of the internal CF bits and pieces (and not just in the M2 - also in the 2-series M-P Performance cockpit add-ons), I've been thinking that BMW should absolutely devise one to replace the plastic part around the shifter, which is absolutely the cheapest-looking, prone to scratches and finger-prints part of the console - see my red arrow.... What do you think?

100% agree.
The area around the shifter is by far the cheapest-looking part of the whole F2x/F87 interior.
It's better on the 6MT models because the shifter itself takes up more space but it's still not great.

Well, you're both in luck:

Well - the most import is not even more CF (I'm not an enthusiast of, though it's just me), but the matte black surrounding of the central CF piece around the shifter; I wonder whether it's alcantara? Difficult to say based on this pic alone... Anyway - just about anything would be better than this pathetic, hard, scratchable black plastic we have in stock "composition"; it's such a prominent place BMW have really screwed it up putting such a cheap material there!

An (expensive) interior that was designed with that material in mind vs. just putting some CF on some parts of an otherwise plastic-fantastic is not really the same in my opinion.

Does anyone else agree?

The car just looks more proportionate and suited to be a sports auto... The lines, the width, the width.... the short roofline... The front looks just perfect to an M aero treatment. The M3 and M4 just look less beautiful at this point.

This by no means says anything else about what I know about the car. I have not driven the new M3 or M4, and I cannot imagine how they would compare to the new M2.
They got rid of that silver bit between grill and headlight! Pefect in my view as it removes the one bit (only bit) I don't like about the f8x aesthetics design. Now if they just diu that for the f8x and reduce the rear end slightly...?

Agree. I despise the way the grille and headlights are "stuck together" in the 3/4 Series (and at least one of the truck models.) It creates way too much tension, like the grille and headlight are being stretched and the joint is about to snap. It's also like looking at a hangnail.

The 3/4 LCI formalized the grille/headlight ensemble by making them look less stretched. But still, no.

0-60 with the DCT has also been lowered to 4.1 seconds (compared to 4.2s figure originally announced).

I must not appreciate technological advancement, but at least for applications of lots of carbon fiber, I prefer the "wet" look over the newer dry one. Dry looks fine if it is used sparingly, but too much and it is distracting. You can use more wet CF before you reach that point, I believe..

I am not in the market (year 1 on a 3 year lease for the M3), but my friendly sales guy has one already built: LBB, executive, manual. If you're interested PM me and I'll put you in touch.

This is not a sales pitch - the guy is a CCA instructor and would like to give priority to an true enthusiast rather than a speculator or a novelty seeker.

The Motorsport stripes on the safety car are 1000x better than the ones offered through MPerformance parts catalog.
