M2 out testing in the Wild...
Some more pics of the M2 out testing in the Wild...
The sensor on the roof is for vehicle speed. You see cars with this sensor when BMW is testing different tire sizes. To reiterate the M2 info we've posted thus far: Quote:

Too bad it won't have the m4 engine. I hate when they neuter cars so as to not compete with the next model up. Porsche does it with the cayman so as to not steal away any 911 sales. This car could have been soooo much better. What we really wanted was a smaller m4. What we are getting is a beefed up 2 series

I have to admit, the m2 has definitely sparked my interest. however I think it will be a tough sell to the folks on here that are currently rocking an e9x n55 platform. I mean with a good tune and some bolt ons, guys are getting those numbers.......I'm not sure the body styling alone would warrant getting out of an almost perfect e9x (visually IMO) platform. we will see I guess.

Interesting, those don't look like the M Performance Brakes that are currently available for the 2 series, since they appear to be drilled instead of dimpled.
Looks like they may be the "BMW Performance Brake System"? http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/10...E-BRAKE-SYSTEM |

I'm happy for the production car to use the M235i racings body panels however not so happy about the side skirts, looks so odd to me, if they fill out the side skirts the car will be perfect
Early days

Im guessing we wont have carbon roof? So far not a single prot with camoed roof.
I know they are going in stages with the production parts, but the roof usually its there on the very early prots |

Really liking the seemingly aggressive bodywork, though. That may well make up for the lack of a carbon roof.

Still, no one curious about that color? I don't recognize it, but love it. Blend between Sparkling Graphite Metallic and Space Grey. |

Looks great, but I'm disappointed that it will be an N55 based engine, instead of the S55 derivative (detuned, etc).
One of the great things about the S55 was its cooling...that thing is track ready! I don't see how the N55 (with additional cooling, etc) will be a track adequate car, but I guess we'll have to see.
