Has everyone missed the point?
If the upgrade only had these cosmetic changes, then it would be disappointing.
The real change is the engine etc.

Should we expect the M2 Comp to sound the same as the M3/M4's given they have the same engine?

I am for Sapphire Black Metallic paint Code 475. You could never go wrong with a black BMW.

The only bad thing about black that I could think of is it doesn't highlight your carbon fiber pieces. But that ain't no bigger..

I’m truly questioning how many KIAs I’ve seen recently and even fewer that may have this type of grille everyone refers. Next to none.

Maybe my eyes aren’t attracted to KIAs, but it’s doubtful as I don’t think anyone even buys those cars. Wiser folks buy Japanese cars for commuters or American for big discounts.

Even if it were the exact same, what’s the big deal? It’s just a car with one similar feature. Either buy the KIA or buy the BMW, I’ll let your justifications choose.

I agree it doesn't look at all like a KIA. Personally I love everything about the new grill(s), except I'd have preferred they body-colored the area between them. I understand that they're trying to bring back a little of the classic, connected-kidney design, I'm just not a fan of it. But nothing a quick trip to the body shop can't fix. Score, sand and paint the center to match the body and it'll look even better.

Not if they do a single-Path or crossover midpipe.
That seems to make all the difference in this engine

Looking forward to seeing how creative this community gets to modifying the grilles

I don't mind the grill anymore. It's not like there has ever been a distinct BMW kidney grill design - they change and morph with every new model, so there isn't an iconic "THE BMW Grill".

But, as they have moved together and become a single unit rather than a pair, I don't think it appropriate to call it a "kidney" grill.

Maybe liver grill or even pancreas grill.

Yeah...it's the new and distinctive BMW Pancreas Grill!

That's silly. It's like "mono-eye".
You call it a kidney grill because there are a pair of them. If it's only one, why call it a kidney.

I'm sticking with Pancreas (because the liver is too asymmetrical).

I see M2s listed for high 60's new at dealerships! I don't see this car being cheaper than that! Sub 60's is a theoretical price! Don't forget those nice dealer markups.

You just need to find dealer that is willing to sell at MSRP. Yes, they exist.

Black also camoflages the big fangs on our cars, a design feature I'm not too fond of.
