Just recently I've spoken to my SA about this, and he's the one that told me that any SA that doesn't offer you the transfer when it's possible to have will lose their job if reported. It's not up to their discretion. BMW absolutely wants them to offer the transfer. It's sad that some SA's are getting away with this. |

You already know this but:
If you can do plugs yourselve, the dealer service dept ain’t for you. $100 to keep coverage is a no brainer, but heads up when that party is over find an independent mechanic for the stuff that’s outside your strike zone. Let the dealer handle the parade of Mom’s in X5s and you’ll both be happier for it. |

If you are still under the maintenance plan you can also purchase the Ultimate Care.
I was at the dealer with the X4 and they told me my brakes were shot all around, really low, CBS was way off. I was able to purchase the UltimateCare brake addition (not the +1 year) for ~$700, which was less than the parts $900 and I didn't have to get dirty changing them out. They replace the pads, sensors and rotors all around. |

I'm glad your service manager was able to take care of you on this one. |

Always helps to have an honest guy present and eavesdropping! Most knuckleheads don’t understand that a little good will goes much farther in terms of repeat and new business.
Glad it worked out for you!! And thanks for bringing this to other members’ attention. |

Two weeks ago I took my car in for the break in service and was told that it would be $800 to change the fluids. I told the SA that it should be only $100 to transfer the maintenance to my name. As i saw the conversation was going no where I told him i would wait for a sales guy that i was friendly with and see if he could help. By the way I did not purchase the car from there, this car was purchased from EAG. Because I was there at 8:30 I had to wait for a bit for the sales guy I knew to arrive. He was aware of this but was not authorized to do it. He got me together with the finance manager who was able to pull up the appropriate screen and do the switch for me in about 5 minutes. $107 later I was able to bring my car to 7000+ rpm... It is a shame that the consumer often knows more than the dealer employees.

All model year 2017 BMW vehicles and newer sold or leased by an authorized BMW center come with BMW Ultimate Care standard for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles. https://www.bmwusa.com/explore/bmw-v...onditions.html Says it's non-transferable. What am I missing? Thanks! |

I did not know about any of this. Mine says its active on the app but I paid for an oil change a few months ago and no one told me about the $100 transfer. They better believe I am going to get it transferred before next time even though I only have this for another 8 months. I will definitely bring in why they did not asl me to transfer it last time.
