M2C Rubber Front Lip... dreaming

I have been contemplating the idea of installing a carbon fiber front lip on my M2C... lips look great but are not practical at all with the quality of roads over here! Besides, I am not a huge fan of carbon fiber.

Last week, I came across the M2CS Racing ABS plastic front lip.. it looks great, especially how it blends really well with the OEM rear diffuser and side markers... but GBP 1,550 for a plastic piece is a stretch https://www.apmotorsport.co.uk/produ...front-splitter

My wish has always been for a rubber front lip similar to the ones in the Porsche 991. I thought this can never be offered on a BMW.. until today!

I came across this morning the M850i and found it equipped with a front rubber lip! Looks great! If only something similar to this is offered on the M2C

Would have been perfect if it was in a matte finish matching the rear diffuser

You could always install something like this on the bottom of your lip to protect it:

You could always paint it. I agree the CF part is expensive and was also considering this ABS Motorsports lip, but the finish does need some work. Maybe a clear coat would make it a bit closer to the rear stock diffuser. But if also this is cost prohibitive, the other one mentioned above seems more affordable and if destroyed you're not out $1K.

This is great for protection purposes, but you don't get any upgrade in-terms of looks. I have them installed on my bumper

Can this be made with a matte finish similar to the M2CS Racing lip?

Does anyone know of a similar lip for an OG M2? It's exactly what I want.

Same here lowered on MP coilovers at manufacturer spec (595mm/600mm).
Personally think this is a perfect front lip as I was specifically looking for something not carbon fiber.
The lip comes in extremely solid quality and I can foresee it holding up for quite some time.
And I do like the look which differs from most of the carbon fiber front lips. Subtle but yet has its own character.
I do believe that Lightweight nailed it on this product.

honestly that looks perfect... I think i might go with that. Best part to me about it being metal is it can be fixed and repainted. My buddy that has bad a few m3's says his CF lips always break and shatter on things while driving.

That looks solid! Did you do it for looks only, or do you think you are getting perceptible downforce benefit from it as well?

I'm a track instructor and I doubt there's much downforce with this simple splitter. At $500 It can take a beating unlike its CF cousins....

SO cheap and durable are great on a street driven car that's lowered

I've contacted Zaero about releasing an option for the OG M2. Their current plan is to release it middle of April/ beginning of May!

So I just realized that you can get the M2 CS Racing Front Splitter for around USD 760 part number #51628328240 (https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-8...ront-splitter/)... But this does not including the brackets and bolts. Essentially, this is the same setup for an OEM CS Front Splitter with the same brackets set (not 100% sure).

So my question is:

Looking at the pictures of the part, do you think it can be installed properly on a M2C bumper using universal bolts and strong adhesive? The brackets cost more than USD 500!
