Coolant level - new car

Not there's a few more UK M2C owners I think more are visiting this section maybe?

Anyway, any of you with new cars, have you checked your coolant level?

I know there's the intercooler leak concern, that's why I checked my levels and the I/C tank was fine.

But the main coolant tank was EMPTY. This was first check from new, I filled it up with about 1/2 litre 10 days ago and so far no change.

So my only thought is it was low/empty from factory. You bet the dealers would never have checked it, they don't even let the tyres down from 50psi delivery pressures.

Remember to let it cool before checking!!

Interesting. I got my car yesterday it is a bit hot at the mo, but will have a look when it cools down.

Thankfully in my case the tyres had at least been set to the correct pressures.

I haven't checked it yet, but now that you have mentioned it I'll check when I get back from walking the dog. Pretty shocking there was hardly any coolant in there.

What tyre pressures are you all setting them at?

My car came with MPSS. What did yours come with?

Thanks for the heads up Doughboy. I just had to go and buy coolant from Halfords. I was about a pint down in recommended levels.

I think all m2c have mpss?

My tires were all at 50+psi / 3.5 bar. Dropped them to the sticker pressures for light load. Can't remember off hand.

Karlos, so that's 2 of us with low coolant...
