Bootmod3 Stage 2 93: Car doesn't feel any faster?
Hey guys,
I have a 2018 N55 M2. Car went in for some upgrades yesterday and was flashed with bootmod3 stage 2 93 octane. Its hard to tell really, but car feels about the same. Powerband is smoother but doesn't feel "faster". I have been told possible boost leak. Any ideas? Following are my performance mods: Fabspeed Sport Cat Full Remus Exhaust MAD intercooler Evolution Racewerks chargepipe Logs: https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6285...0b437b0542b4d3 https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6285...0b43790f93131b https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6285...90c61fd35b6cbb https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=6285...729b30f439bff5 Also a sidenote, anyone have issues with BM3 OBD disconnecting randomly after 10 mins and only way to get it to connect back is to restart phone/car? |

Doesn’t look like a boost issue.
Looks like crappy timing due to super high IATs and/or poor fuel quality. What was the ambient temp for these logs? What fuel are you running? I don’t have any BM3 disconnect issues. I’m running the latest app version and OBD to lightning cable hardwire. |

I would try some Shell 93 to see if you notice a difference, and then investigate further from there. |

In the graphs. If you split the entire run into quarters. On the first 1/4 you can see boost (pre throttle) takes a bit to build up to boost (target). Or am i reading this wrong?

Do you have delayed power when you’re in upper RPMs and go WOT? |

Grab some Shell 93 and start your pull at 2500rpm and I bet all this goes away. Post up more logs when you have them. Also, if you had an arbitrarily bad tank of gas (worse than this one) and started your WOT pulls under 1K in 3/4 gear, you have a decent risk of messing up your engine. Just not a good idea to do ever, really. F87source can expand. |

I’m sure timing would be cleaner, but I still think if you get good fuel and start your pull at a higher RPM you’ll have good timing on the 93 map.
Also, remember to turn DSC off for the pull. Traction control will intro timing pull, as well. |

Full DSC off requires holding the button down for 10 seconds, but that’s usually only needed if it’s cold out and you have low grip (be careful!) or if you’re pushing a huge amount of torque, like my 540wftlbs on the Stg 2+ E30 map. |
