Genius line no longer provides order tracking updates?

Hi all.. I have been calling the Genius line (844-443-6487) to track my order and in the past few days noticed they no longer will provide an update. Instead they will transfer me to the automated line (800-831-1117). Has anyone else experienced this?

Yeah.. I have, but I heard it lags behind the actual status. Plus, I wanted to try to get info on what ship it was on.

Oh, OK. In the past when I called them. To me it felt like they were reading the same information as me. If you have a good relationship w/the CA he can use the vehicle locate app(?).

When the CA updated some options in his app, he said it could take 2-3 days but so far I see them almost immediately in My BMW, but his app takes a while for it to drop off

It looks like BMW want you to use the automated line or My BMW... https://www.bimmerdavid.com/track-my-bmw

I used this post to learn how to track my M2 last time, https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1181156 My M2 travelled on Wallenius Wilhemlsen, so I was able to search the manifest using my VIN.

They still do it. I did it today. Ask them to do it themselves and that you don't want the automated line. Sometimes, the system on their end is down and they will forward you to the automated line.

I tried yesterday and was told they don't have that information. Best that could be done was to transfer me to the automated line.

They may be temporarily overwhelmed with the volume of calls related to the stop sale (airbag hold). Once they get on top of the backlog, they may be more willing/able to provide support as expected by customers.

Could be the case. The day they stopped providing that info was the day the recall was announced. Or maybe that’s just a coincidence.

Get your client advisor to look up your cars status on the BMW Dealer Speed App.

Under the sales tab then pipeline tab. Most stores print a copy of this everyday, showing all their inventory, in transit, scheduled for production and even allocations.
