ASD is awful. Too bassy, sound coming from all angles when it shouldn't be and the radio needs to be cranked and it's still unclear. A very disorientating and disconnected driving sensation all round. I'm sure other cars have more perfected it but it sounds awful to me here and not sure why it is needed when less powerful cars still have satisfying exhaust notes and no road noise. Guess it is classic over engineering.

I had a car with no sound deadening it wasn't bad mostly you could hear gravel stones being spat up.

First I need to identify what sound deadening I can get at to try and remove. Seems like the OP didn't a good job (in reverse) but he hasn't visited the site in years.

what happened with your car? my 2018 m2 was making rattling noises and it was a defective transmission
