From experience I’d say ppf the whole thing out the gate. Nothing more frustrating than doing the front then start seeing chips elsewhere

For what I've bought already:
https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1760803 - M Performance carbon fiber side markers with MS painted center bar - MS painted front reflectors - Red and blue painted M1/M2 steering wheel buttons - Autotecknic carbon fiber outer steering wheel trim - Weathertech front/rear floor liners (not pictured in above link) Parts that have been ordered and are on the way: - PPF/Window Tint/Ceramic Coating/Sliplo already have tentative appt for - M Performance carbon fiber kidney grille - Motul 300V 5W-40 for track days - Titan7 T-S5 19x9.5/10.5 in satin titanium. Sample pic: Parts that will be coming that I've yet to order: - Michelin PS4s for the Titan7s - Carbon fiber/leather steering wheel from XPH - Carbonio front license plate mount Parts I'm on the fence about and will decide once I have the car or need more research in: - UCP Ultimate clutch pedal - AutoSolutions SSK - CDV delete - Oil catch can or air oil separator or some sort - Rear reflector honeycomb insert - AK-Motion Vent Data Display - Catback exhaust... so far, I like the Akrapovic with link pipe one the best but my GOD that's an expensive catback |

I'll be doing full PPF.. since you're in Denver, I'd recommend Denver Auto Shield - they do awesome work.
CDV delete CF shift knob Maybe the AA equal length if I don't need to cut anything on the stock system.

Yep, that's my plan! Going to see if I can get any 2 for 1 love and get the 1M done at the same time. The partial mask on that is yellowing and tired.

Debating on Full Front end PPF and/or Ceramic Coating.
Local shop does excellent work but doesn't come cheap. Ceramic Coating package includes a paint correction and 2 coats including wheels. Depending on cost, I may only do the PPF. |

Cquartz finest reserve for entire car, glass, wheels (outside+barrels), and calipers. Includes the paint correction $2k. Picked the installer rather than the product. I can't imagine he makes much more than $1000 when product and materials are factored in. I gladly pay $1k to not do that work myself. I'll be all in for $2600. I'd rather touch up the paint than run PPF. I'm only doing the front bumper because of how easy the bugs come off the ppf.

I thought it was a great price. The xpel however was 2100 for full front end (a-pillars and rockers). 695 for bumper and headlights only. Question for me is that my wife has an x5 45e coming this month as well and that's gonna be 2x the hurt. Maybe just bumper and ceramic on her car |

I left the x5 alone. I just traded in a car for the x5. Was in a small accident before trading it in. I ask the shop to touch up a few nicks in the paint. It turned out fantastic and it was a fancy white pearl paint. I'm going the touch-up route if needed. The ceramic is just an effort to see if I can go longer between washes. Last car was paint correction and wax. Still looked good after almost 3yrs. Was due for another good waxing.

Doing ppf for bumper, hood, front fenders, mirrors and possibly roof and rear quarters. That plus paint correction will set me back about 4100

I've never PPFed a car before. Doing it this time because of the annoyance I have over the chips and blasting on my F30 after 60k and how bad the E36 I just repainted was. Figured the extra money was worth the shot on the CS and the films look quite good these days.

Is there a CDV in our cars? I couldn't find any clear confirmation of it nor any DIY for the delete.

Autoflex! (Ngenco in Europe).
Better alternative ... cheaper than PPF, more protective than ceramic coatings, and looks just like paint. http://www.autoflexcoatings.com/highgloss |
