If true; it's a game changer.

Unfortunately most sales agents are mega ignorant...lol. I rarely trust any confirmations by them...

Also if true the actual price for an individual color would be $4450. Unless you get white the other colors that you DON'T want are $550. About the price of a professional wrap....

Agreed - although, it would be nice if more colors were available for those who haven't purchased yet.

My adviser just confirmed it is available, though it adds 6 to 12 months to the build. If I could wait that long...Melbourse Red or Sakhir Orange!

I wonder how much it would be for Estoril Blue, since it is already available for the M240i,which is also produced at the Leipzig plant.

Last time i had my SA look into ordering the F80 M3 a few years ago,BMW said it would cost $1800 CDN to order the M3 in Estoril Blue.I assumed it was quite a bit less money because Estoril Blue is also a regular 3 series color and the 3 series is made at the same Regensburg plant as the M3.

I still have my doubts whether it is true. We've been told repeatedly it would not happen by people much more well informed than dealership employees, who are typically the last to know anything.

It was not about the 1M what I heard, but about the one-off M2 that was painted. I heard it was repainted... In the end, it doesn't really matter. For now it is interesting to see they are putting other colours on a M2C.

Mark you refer to the 1 x Austin Yellow F87 then I assume?

OP - exciting find, many thanks!!

Scott had posted the work on the Leipzig plant needed to support Individual was still underway, I don't think it started until relatively recently.

Yup... But Artemis corrected me with full info I have never seen before. I heard it from someone inside BMW, but they were again bullsh*tting. It is becoming common now.

Guys, can we please all check our dealers right now? Call them, email them and text them! If indidivual is true, I am eating my shoes tomorrow and changing my order.

Would be nice to do my order in San Marino Blue, but $5K for a color is a little up there for me (if true).

I had an order in for a San Marino Blue M4 CP but changed it to the M2 at the last minute. I would be willing to pay another £1k for the colour but not another £4K..... wish they offered this colour on the M2

Just asked my SA about an individual option for the M2C. Quoted:
"It is not an option in the Canadian market yet. But if you are interested, we can help you ask the factory for a special order. It usually costs 6-7K for the individual colour."

Would be cool to have a one-off M2C, but at close to 10k CAD it would not be worth it.

Excerpts from the Michael Fux M2 VIN build sheet mention the "BMW Karo-Lackzentrum" (= BMW Niederlassung München Karosserie- & Lackzentrum in Garching - Munich) for painting several "Anbauteile" in Austin Yellow Metallic:

Would definitely pay $5K for LSB or perhaps SMB. I thought lack of individual colors was a factory restriction, has that changed?

Seems very unlikely your dealer would know before this board would know.

Breakdown of the $114K Austin Yellow Metallic M-DCT M2:
Funniest thing is that who would pay $114k for an M2? Really? Even if it was 18k gold plated. Obviously someone did pay that much, but it has like no premium resale value. This is not like a 993 turbo in PTS. True waste of money.
The kind of person who takes a picture with it on Instagram when it arrives then puts it in one of his warehouses never to be seen again.

Only way to confirm it is to have your SA phone BMWNA and see if they will now allow individual orders on the M2C.

How do you know his SA didn’t do that?
