Don't forget to factor in the inevitable 20k market adjustment

The insane mark ups should be fun to watch for the first year or so.

Stick with the safety equipped that came with your car. If and when you progress to the point you need a harness. I wouldn’t go anything less than a 5 point harness, fixed seat, and harness bar.

Code for 437M wheels is 2VZ. It's not listed in the pdf and may no longer be available for US cars. Sorry.

I don't know, I doubt it outside of the usual California suspects. The M2 demand had already slowed down and the F8x cars overall are already very late in their lifecycles.

Not every dealer marks them up. Got my current M2 at MSRP and it was not loaded with half the performance catalog making it cost what the Competition costs now.

If you choose the 437M wheels in the Austrian configurator it stops working and the wheels are not displayed on the car. Wonder if that's a fluke or because they are no longer offered and were accidentally listed.

Happened to me the other day and I thought it was the mobile site. Logged onto my laptop and also crashed so you might be right.

Noticed that. Not too worried as I think black 788M is the way to go. If not, sell 788M secondhand and pickup a set of the amazing 763M post delivery.

That's a good deal because I think I read the 18" won't work with the new brakes - so all of you in snow country, pick these up for your winter wheels - or wait, summer wheels and use the new ones (yuck) as your winter wheels

I hate the M2C wheels, period. No way I am keeping those. What is the deal on the M performance wheels? Can it be ordered with them?

Does it make sense to get them later and sell of the 288's? If M performance wheels come with Cup 2 tires and it's ~$3k up charge, then it might be worth it, as the Cup 2's would serve well as a track tire and eliminate the need for a second set of wheels.

Another option would be the M3C wheel, those look much better. Anyone know if they are the same offset

Let's not propagate BMW's typo. The M2C wheels are 788M, not 288M.

Is the leather still Dakota? Can you opt out of the colored sections in the middle of the seat and only get colored stitching?

True, but I don't think they'll last long. It will be a big bullet for early M2 adopters to take to trade in or sell their base M2 having lost all that price advantage on their used car and then pay the mark up again. These are the folks that tend to early adopted and I think they'll feel like they're being double f***ed!
