Nilglass "BAD ASS" glass cleaner
![]() Many years ago, I grew frustrated trying to find decent glass cleaner products for the ultimate clear non-smear finish. Having tried various glass cleaners, my firm favourite was AutoGlym's 'FAST GLASS'. It's a very good product and has always been my go to! Unfortunately, when it came to ordering more I discovered there was a back order. So I decided to research temporary alternatives over at detailing world. Those guys kept saying the same thing, "nilco nilglass" - so I took the chance. ![]() I've never seen this product before, not online or in shops. It doesn't have any fancy bottle art, just straight to the point. Two words, "Bad Ass". This thing makes cleaning glass effortless, it's amazing. I'm able to achieve awesome results in half the time it normally took with AutoGlym Fast Glass. I'm can get the glass perfectly clean with fewer passes and zero smearing. Here are some tips to get your glass looking perfect: The Microfibre Towel: + Always use a CLEAN towel - (don't cheat here). + Fold the towel so that you have 4 quarters. + Use a quarter for each side of the car (glass). + Try to wipe the towel in one uniform direction, this will greatly reduce smears. Glass Cleaner Product: + For the best results, use after you've washed the whole car. + Try to avoid cleaning the glass in direct sunlight. The heated glass will cause most of the chemicals to evaporate quickly. + Keep the bottle along with some clean MF in the trunk. It can be used to help lift fresh bird droppings. ![]() This product impressed me enough to do this little write-up and share it, consider giving it a go if you're unhappy with your current glass cleaner. Thanks for reading ![]()

Thanks for the recommendation - I got the CS Alcantara with blue stitching from Bimmermasterpieces as well.
The car is due to dock in Brisbane on 5th July! But at least the hood is here. Got here from Europe is about a week. ![]() Looks really good! |

As R0ME0 explained it's to keep it in place, also makes the installation neater as the alcantara clinging onto the top (underside) goes behind the instrument cluster a bit providing a clean OE look. Best of luck with your M2 delivery ![]()

I was contemplating getting a second one to fit on my wife's 125i
![]() Now I just need a Torx screw. Do you think the BMW dealership will lend me one when they install the steering wheel I ordered. Ps which wing mirrors did you get? Don't remember seeing you post the install. It just appeared in your latest photos |

![]() M2 Mirrors Disclaimer: Nothing beats pure ///M mirrors. Until the time comes when a true M3/M4 retrofit is released with a 'reasonable' price tag, I'll stick to mirror caps for now. A few months back I went totally OCD over the various mirror cap offerings. It turns out, not all caps are the same. Some are cheap and nasty, others have a little more 'refinement' in their shape which makes a big difference. There's a guy on the German 2 series forum who is selling "///M mirror caps" - there's a thread about it on here by Robban. The mirrors caps I purchased were from a company called 'CarbonCustomzUK'. My set was professionally skinned by hand in a real carbon fibre 3k weave cloth and finished with a deep, glossy UV resistant coating. This is their ebay store: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/mhautopaint - At the moment is empty ![]() Alternatively here is Robban's post on a good set of mirror caps: http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...5608&page=2#42 Oh and a big tip: no need to take the mirror out, just pry an interior trim (non-scratch) tool around the edges of the stock cap, it'll come out very easily. I gave the M2 a summer detail this week!
Just wanted to share some pics of the wax product I tried as well as rain-x!. I took the latter pics in the evening after many hours of working on the car ![]() Wax 'n' Shine! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ... pretty damn happy with that ![]() R222 was easy to apply and remove. The standard rule with waxes still applies, which is to avoid use on hot surfaces. As for durability we'll have to see, but I'm not expecting much realistically. For Rain-X, I'll need to wait for a rainshower to try it out. Thanks for reading! ![]()

Air Filter DIY
Parts: BMW OE Air Filter: 13717602643 The Colors of LBB I made this short video when I was testing a cheap 'stick on' camera. Notice when I turn at the top of the hill, the light changes as does the hue of LBB... ... and yes the overlaying music is ripped straight from a 'you know what' film ![]()

Cleaning the 437M's
For a stock wheel, the 437M's look great on the M2. While simple in design, getting them perfectly clean can be frustrating at first. Usually after cleaning it's not uncommon to see bits of missed dirt around various points of the wheel. I've perfected a method with some tools that makes cleaning them easy in one go without leaving any dirt behind. Here it is: You can add tire dressing if you wish and wheel sealant if you want to make maintenance easier in the future. Tools make a difference A set of genuine 'Wheel Woolies' make the job soo much easier. While not cheap I do highly recommend them due to their quality. I've used them many times now and they are still in great condition. I rinse them after use and leave to dry. Hope you found it useful ![]()
