Is there a way to code the exhaust flaps to be open during cold start instead of being in Efficient mode every time you start up?

Don't enable glare free high beams if your m2c is a US spec car. It doesn't work and will blind oncoming traffic

I enabled it and it certainly works fine. The only feature the US cars have that doesn't work 100% is the tunneling feature when there is a car in front of you.

Cars coming at me are not a problem. It drops the left high beam to low, leaving the right one on. In the 5+ months I've had this setup I think only 3-4 people have flashed their lights at me.

Perhaps the m2c is different. My LCI m2 does dim one high beam, but often turns back on and glares oncoming traffic. I disabled GFHB pretty quickly after testing it out. On my F80 it worked flawlessly.

It works awesome on my 2020 M2C. Left lights LED's will move left, then down then back to center before they can bother the oncoming driver.

On the Highway my right High Beam rotates to the right a tad allowing me to see far out in front which helps with deer etc.

The only place where I'm not sure if they're working is approaching a car in front of me. Both my highs will tunnel to both sides of the car, but I'm not 100% sure if they are doing it as well as the Euro cars so..

I'll turn mine off in that case to make sure..

Just did

ASD
Angel eye to 100% ( will this be too bright?)
Mirror fold

Where do I find easy entry and exit? Is it in FEM?
And what's VLD?

I used obdlink mx and bimmercode, pretty straightforward.

Thanks again

The easy entry and exit is really helpful, here's a video walkthrough of how to code it using BimmerCode:

MY20 M2C- Will BimmerCode void my Factory Warranty

Hi Guys,

Just checking, because I like the ideas but before I invest money to get everything needed to code my car. Will BMW void my new car warranty if they find that I coded my car?

I asked a similar question in the tuning section of this forum for the S55 engine. General consensus is that this isnt the same as tuning your ECU which does void factory warranty. This is basically the equivalent of switching an on switch to an off switch (or vice versa). So the option has always been there, but hidden from the general public (think developer mode on an Android phone).

Some users have reported going to the dealership multiple times with "coded" items and they had their warranty work done hassle free.

You should be safe coding with Bimmercode... They're more worried if you're tuning your car's performance via BM3, JB4 for example.

I have 30 years of high performance cars from Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, etc.... I chipped many of cars years back like RS4, 911 Turbo, etc... It was a gray area with warrantee and ECU modding. Today it’s not and I won’t do it while under factory warranty.

The cold cut and dry answer is “Yes”. If you have a problem, BMW will use any direct tampering with the ECU to void your warranty. Aftermarket companies like to dance around this simple truth but it’s the same with Porsche, Audi or any manufacture. I know it’s a buzz kill and many that have the modding sickness wanna argue this but in the end the manufacture is the judge and jury to implement a warranty claim. A beater Asian import is one thing but a $65k+ car is another tax bracket of risk.

BMW are wise to what’s going on and you’re not going to fool them so the risk to reward has to make sense to the owner before flashing their car. We used to say that whatever your manufacturing defect had to be proven it was the cause of the aftermarket tampering but that’s not the case. Even minor coding is splitting hairs but you are at the mercy of the manufacture with any warranty claim and they will deny your claim.

It happened at my dealership with a flashed M4. My dealership didn’t even have to make the call because a secondary service team from BMW came to the dealership to investigate the vehicle with their own diagnostic equipment. They did their diagnostics and void the warranty on the spot.

I don't know if they can correlate coding mirrors to auto fold with a transmission/motor issue but why take the risk? It's too much of a hassle, might as well wait until its out of warranty and go at it.

Wow-

I don't get why BMW can't code the car for me. Has anyone asked the dealer to make changes like folding your mirrors when locking the car?
