RW Carbon Front Lip (Who has it?)
Any feedback on this front lip? It looks like an exact clone of the M Performance lip. How is the quality and fit?

Its fine. You asked about RW, I asked about RW and Vicrez, the other thread is about CS lips and everything else. LOL
Keep this one... |

Yeah, I had to rewatch the video to catch the lip LOL.
In all seriousness, I never considered a lip, but the more I look at my M2, I see a gaping hole beneath the front bumper. I dont want to spend $1500 on the MP version and worry about it. This seems like a happy medium where you dont care if you scrape it. I'm looking at this and the Vicrez, lets see what the forum member say. |

I did not want to overpay on a front lip that is just going to get beat up. I got the RW Carbon from a local for $350 and filled in the underside scratches with an industrial sharpie. Look and fit are pretty good and the pattern matches the real M Perf carbon parts that are on the car. It looks way better than a NAKED front bumper.

Looks like you are on stock suspension, so how do you find the (loss of) clearance? Ok for normal road dips and speed bumps? Thanks |

Moderate, but definitely some drop from stock height. Looks really nice. |

Another popular, cheaper option, if you are OK without the lip being CF:
https://europeanautosource.com/light...ml?vehicle=242 Not sure if I want to spend above a grand for a front lip, especially since I will have the car lowered on coilovers soon. So was thinking about Lightweight. Edit: Ok, I didn't mean to go off-topic. I see this is specifically for the RW lip. Which is really nice btw. I was also looking at the RKP one if I do go carbon fiber, and pricier. But that is more aggressive and pronounced. Edit2 for BigKutta: I am drinking some Springbank Cask Strength right now. With some Uigeadail before it. Last edited by csbear; 07-01-2020 at 12:57 AM.. |

It's not very low but low enough that I often scrape getting out of my own driveway. I've had several lowered cars so I'm used to hitting everything at the proper angle and speed. I may go a bit lower once my wheels arrive ... Damn things are taking forever!

Ok. On the stock suspension, probably lose about 2 inches or so, which still leaves enough I think

csbear - You have good taste my friend! I remember when I first saw both Corryvreckan and the Uigeadail at a bar in Raleigh, NC. I had never tasted either, so needless to say it was a fun night of tasting that expanded way beyond the Ardbeg, and into all the peaty malts that night.

I have an order in with Vicrez for this exact front lip. They had a 20% off sale over Father's Day weekend which seemed too good to pass up. I called them yesterday to see about hardware being included and ETA. Basically, yes to hardware, no to 3M tape (but would throw a roll into the box for me) and a possible ship time of late next week.
I also picked up theSlipLo Skid Plate for $80 (20% coupon code) to hopefully eliminate the inevitable scratching that will occur. Once I receive the Vicrez lip I will definitely post a new thread about the install, fit, and my overall opinion. The RW lip does look really good as well. My only concern is that Vicrez is using an edited photo as their main picture of the lip that BMW used in their media.

https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1626525 I shared some thoughts about quality in a link there as well as my experience dealing with RW. It's all still accurate but one thing I'll say is get some PPF on that front lip before you install it. The clear coat chips very easily! After a few hundred miles I was seeing some significant damage. |

My plan was to make sure it fits 100% without tape and then take it to my PPF guy.
