SoCal/Angeles National Forest Radio Question?

Hi, all--I have been thoroughly enjoying my M2C along the Angeles Crest. I'm wondering if folks use radios at all up there and what channels? I also have a Mini and the local club uses radios on runs and it's been super helpful. On Angeles Crest, what with road closures, unfortunate accidents, and other hazards, I thought it could be useful, especially on weekends and early mornings when there are more spirited drivers.

It may be totally impractical given the topography and range, but figured I'd ask. In "normal" times I'd stop at Newcomb's and ask around, but given the pandemic, well... I did see a New Year's run on instagram that talked about radio channels (organized by a Porsche driver, so the 9.11 channel was self-explanatory!), so figured I'd at least ask!

Thanks in advance!

Me and my buddy use radios, they are great for staying in constant touch and just plain ol' talking smack while we drive. I recommend.
Not sure what channel we use though, it varies.
