Random rattle that started while driving, sounds like a rock in the rear passenger side.

I know some M2's had this issue with a rock getting stuck in the brake shield.

Anyone experience something similar in the m2c ?

Rocks make big noise. How loud is it?

Sounds like a rock in a tin can, rattling around. Intermittent but more pronounced over bumpy roads.

No scraping/aberrant noises when braking.

I'm wondering if I can take the wheel off and clear it without a visit to the dealer.

If u can hear it clearly when u open the window it could be stone there but usually they fall out relatively fast. U ca reach with a wire or something like this there and try to dislodge it.

There are two nuts that help support the exhaust toward the rear that could be loose. Just went through this exact thing—noise sounded like a tinny rattling or rubbing and was worse once the car had warmed up. Good luck.

That is exactly what it was.

Just tightened the one bolt that was loose.

Appreciate the help and saving me a trip to the dealer and preventing unnecessary molestation by the tech.

For anyone in the same situation, this is the bolt.
