Blendmount for Uniden R7 on CS

hey guys - i have an m2 CS with a newly acquired Uniden R7 I got a great deal on. I wanted to add blendmount and mirrortap for a cleaner install, I reached out to them directly on the answer for this but their response has been less than impressive.

Which one should I buy with this style mirror?

options to choose from:

From your picture it looks like the one on the right, BR7-2017.

I checked and for my Uniden R3 I got the BNR-2017 model which is for the same mirror as BR7-2017. Not surprising to see M2CS having the same mirror.

Well ... if you get caught with laser it'll tell you but you'll still get pulled over, right?

I haven't encountered much laser around my area. Maybe twice in 8 years and it wasn't an issue either time because I wasn't speeding excessively. Mostly K and Ka.

How does it affect your visibility? I have my R7 to the left of my mirror. It's not as clean as the BlendMount but it feels like below the mirror would block some visibility looking to that right.

I have been using the mirror tap from the forum link below for years. I had an m235i, then got the M2 comp and used the same link/mirror tap to install it on the new car. It's not hard at all. The mount I'm using is the single suction cup one.

Same I have mine just suctioned to the left of the mirror with the mirror tap. It's easy enough to glance up at and it doesn't really affect the use of my sun visor either. I feel like with the clown nose mirror, hanging it under would potentially get in your line of sight.

I'm running a V1 with the remote display, so it needs a wire down from the unit either way (mirror tap won't work). I run the wiring behind the A-pillar trim and down the edge of the dash to underneath, almost totally hidden.

Why would you think it would be different than the m2c?

When you install your mirror tap could you please take a photo of where you plug your red and black wires into the socket please?

Almost exactly how mine is setup but with the single suction cup. But now I'm realizing I haven't tried to put the visor down since I installed it. Going to need to test that.

End result:

I will say that on my 2020 CS the ground wires were different - the 2addicts instructions calls for a brown/black cable but mine was brown/green and on the top upper most right.
