Rear Diffuser - Muffler

Hey guys,

Potential new M2C owner. quick question on the rear of the car. The stock low hanging muffler does the M2C such an injustice that it's hard for me to explain.

What's everyone doing as far as hiding it? Painting may be one option, but is anyone selling a larger diffuser to hide the low hanging mufflers? I'm thinking somehting more aggressive would really suit the car. I tried searching the forums, but don't see anything that hangs low enough to get rid of that muffler...

RKP carbon diffuser is more aggressive than the M Performance one, but won't cover the udder entirely. Your best cheap fix is to paint it.

You're gonna need a massive diffuser which will then look uglier than the big udder. Just paint it, many have done so.

Like BigKutta says. Painting is easy and makes the muffler almost invisible. DM me if you need info on product I used, there are lots of posts with options that work.

I took mine to a local shop. $300 cash out the door. They used flat black high heat paint.

Thanks, guys. Just the info I was looking for. I think I'll still change the diffuser, but painting will be a must anyway.

Since the exhaust on the M2C is one piece I don't have the tools nor space to take it off for painting. I'm planning to paint it while on race ramps and cover the surrounding areas with plastic sheeting.

I left mine alone so it's still bone stock, unpainted.

I actually got used to it, lol.

I plan on selling the car in 2-3 years anyway, so not a huge deal to me.

Totally agree. Shop rates are so outrageous these days it's silly.

Just painted the muffler whilst still on the car.. Spent a good hour masking up all the surrounding areas..
Now looks perfect and discreet.

I say def paint it but embrace the udder.

Go for something like this.

Painting the udder does not fix how low it hangs. My car is low enough that I occasionally scraped on my driveway and other sharp inclines.
No udder with the Dinan but I have scraped those huge tips.

Change to aftermarket exhaust or repaint. First option gets you better sound as part of the deal. Second option is much less exp.
