Looks like the SO is underdog colour here. I've had two red cars in the past so to stand with traditions I went for SO which was close enough to red lol

I switched to SO from HS just because I knew chances are any other M2C I would come across would he HS. Plus it matches the orange stitching.

I've ordered HS but IMO BSM looks by far the best from every angle. I used to own a 1 Series in Mineral Grey and it killed me every time I saw a scratch. I'm just not brave enough to go dark even though (like others have said) it suits this car better.

My top choices would have been:

Mineral Grey
Black Sapphire Metallic
Hockenheim Silver

MG wasn't available so that was out. I know it's a "boring" color but I just love the stealth look.

BSM looks amazing on the M2 in my opinion but I couldn't imagine the upkeep although I almost pulled the trigger on one locally.

I ended up ordering HS and I have no regrets as it also looks great, especially how it appears to look different in different lighting conditions.

I've got sunset orange on order. Before I went in to test drive had assumed I'd go HS, but I saw both in the flesh and SO just stood out / excited me more. Thought it looked great in real life.

I did go back and forth a bit in my head after ordering, but am set now haha.

If we're just talking looks, then BSM wins hands down. I've picked HS for it's exclusivity and because I believe (like you said) it'll be easier to live with. Way too much overthinking!

What else you specced on yours? You managed to get a test drive in one? I've only seen one in a local dealer. My friend who works at the adjoining Mini dealership got to go out in it when it landed... said it was hilariously fast!

Sadly not had a go yet, my dealer has no demo and I missed out when they had the M tour there.

My car has the blue interior, the M2 Plus pack and a few other bits and bobs. Looking forward to March now, but I will miss my M4 for sure.

I ordered LBB because I promised myself I wouldn't get a shade of white/silver/gray/black like every other schmuck on the road

I do think BSM looks best on the car in photos and makes it look really aggressive, but I don't want to own a black car since it's so difficult to keep them looking clean.
