I picked up my brand new M2 Dec 22nd of last year. I did the run-in service shortly there after and will change the oil once again on the 1 year anniversary.

Reviving this thread. I did the 1200 break-in service in September 2018. The car has now around 3,700 miles.
iDrive says oil change is due next month(!) 2/2019 or 6800 miles. Date wise it’s not even 6 months. Curious if anyone run into something similar? I doubt the dealer will do it so soon and it’s really not needed, I won’t even bother to call probably. I’m not sure if there’s a limit how many oil changes you get while on warranty? |

This is because the car was built in November 2017 so the 1 year was up and they did it on warranty wich I was pretty happy right before storing the car for winter after 2 track events

So my car was built 2/18? I bought it in June. They confirmed they did oil change at the break-in service, I guess they did not reset the counter? The break in service message did go away after they did it though.

However, Banilejo , check your driver's side door jam, it will have your production month.

I have the same thing happening. Found a left over 2018 built in June of last year. I just got my 1200 mile service and it show my next oil change in June. I'll happily take the free oil change. I won't put more than 2000-3000 miles in that time.
This has to be an error that BMW is aware of but don't feel like re coding it. Unless there is something else done on the first year oil change but I doubt it since they stopped a lot of that after 2016.

Anyone have something like this for the M2? Are things like spark plugs and brake fluid covered at 36 months for us?
According to this (https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...nance/HUDIbYf8) the M2 and M3/4 are on the same schedule.

Idk I always like my oil to look like you can make a salad with it . I will probably drop mine every 5k. Bring it to the dealer when it’s require and half way drop it myself .

For me only if the car starts to pull to either direction, or with suspension adjustments. Otherwise I personally don't touch it.
