can the dealer backdate DME?
as the title says...
It seems that tuners say that they will can do a bench backdate the DME to pre update, and then do the tune... can't you ask the dealer for an older version of DME tune? Also, once the tuners backdate the DME, can you then control which tunes u use via an obd2? Finally, since DME is locked, can you still do coding for stuff? like folding mirrors and such...

I'd be surprised if they'd do that even if they could.

My dealer is sending my DME in to Carbahn to have it unlocked and flashed, since it is newer than 5/19. I believe Dinan offers the same process for newer, locked DME's, according to my customization specialist.

And I would be very curious if any dealer could backdate... it shouldn't be too difficult.
