Used M2 Comps

I see a lot of used M2 comps out there from 2019 but the pricing doesn't seem realistic to me... the cars can be had new at invoice if you look around enough; there is so much new inventory in the USA and these cars are sitting on the lots.

Browsing the used M2 Comps; I have found a number in the 55k range... this is a terrible deal when compared to new, I would expect them to be in the 50k range without question.

Also, did everyone buy a manual M2 lol? , there is almost no used DCT's in the nation.

Welcome to the M2 market. Some M2Cs still have markups, especially manual ones around the country. With the OG M2, used M2s were selling within 5-10% of MSRP. Don't expect low $50k range for a used 2019 for another year or so. And other than that one dealer in Cali that has too many DCTs in inventory, I haven't heard of any other dealers selling at invoice. Some are starting to give on slight discounts. So either buy new, or wait another year to buy used.

I just don't know how that's possible... these dealers will be sitting on inventory forever; I have watched the same cars locally sit for 3-4 months now... might just bite the bullet and grab new at 3k off.

Well remember that there was a stop sale between April and some cars didn't get addressed until late August. Those stop sales meant that inventory built up. But now it's starting to deplete pretty rapidly. If you look at inventory numbers 2 months ago compared to now, it's lower now. In addition, many of those inventory numbers you find online are not accurate. For example, many capture cars in transit that are not actually on dealer lots and capture cars in transit/on dealer lots that are already customer sold, but their inventory system which updates automatically doesn't capture those variables.

Yes, owners are unrealistic and it takes time to settle because there are not many available now. You can get one for invoice or near invoice if you look hard enough, so I'd definitely not buy used until they get to 50k.

op i said the same exact thing when the n55 m2 was on the used market. they didn't move which made absolutely no sense regardless if you liked s55>n55 or not. i literally made this discovery about the m2c market just this week. once again makes no sense and doubtful m2cs will do anything to help. the sellers in the market really control this car which is incredible lol

the m2c is still relatively low production M car compared to the m4/m3's. mainly because of the crap lease.

You can get a new one 3-4k off MSRP (around 1000+ under invoice) fairly easily. Do that yo'

Then you have to wait another year. Don't forget that 2019 DME is unlocked. If the software update is not done

bought the car new recently... you can still bench flash a 2020 so not sure I see the issue for anyone serious about tuning

Depends on where you live

None on the lot and allocations still hard to come by at my local major market dealer

I know I could search the nation for a deal and do PCD, However, I'm blessed with a trustworthy local dealer & sales associate.

Or get a good deal on a new one, and fly to pick it up. I didn't want to pay 55 for a used one, when I know I could a new one for not much more. No dealer anywhere close to me had an M2C in stock, and I didn't want to order one and pay full price. Found one 700 miles away in Maryland that had been chilling on the lot for 6 months. Worked out a great deal, and paid $90 for a flight and drove it home.

Short flight to Chicago (Naperville) - I think they have like 6 or 7 on the lot at Bill Jacobs.

Bill Earnest will take care of you - he's great!

Ok. So I paid $57.5K for my 2019 M2C @ ED MSRP. 6mt no options.

I doubt it's worth $51-$52K after 18 months (pristine 9K miles). Great if so though!

I've heard many say that most of the M2Cs on lots are with the DCT. Is that what you're finding?

My local dealer has had about 3-4 M2 Comp sitting there for at least 6-8 months. 2 being manual. All of them are pretty much delivery mileage. they arent budging from msrp which is crazy. i wouldn't be surprised if they were going for 10-15k off msrp after COVID is through
